She does not give away the beauty and purity and perfection of her soul to pettiness.
Paramahansa Yogananda likens this to temporary mud on a diamond; which washes off as it had never been there.
Poweful indeed.
Unfortunately many of the survivors could not reach this level of wisdom and strength.
I see many who never could put themselves together.
I hope she can inspire others who survived and are not that strong.
I like your sensitivity.
And the mud on the diamond analogy.

That's an amazing quote.
Those who did recover....and I've known a few as well....serve as a reminder to all of us who find our patience tried by, in contrast, our own pettiness.
Hating is a tiresome emotion, plus good souls need the extra space to fit the heart that barely fits in their chest.

Sorry I haven't been around more guys. Summer is always pretty busy for me. Thanks for all your comments. I especially like the muddy diamond - very visual, and those sort of things seem to stay with me longer... not like water off a duck's back.
Beautiful. I have been contemplating forgiveness tonite and the basic simplicity of this quote is amazing. Something to add to my contemplations.
